About Mrs. Bandura
Welcome to Earth and Space Science where science really rocks...literally! I thoroughly enjoy being part of the MASH family and take great pride in extending my love of science to my students. This will be my twentieth year of teaching Earth and Space Science. I received my Master of Science degree in Geoenvironmental Science from Shippensburg University in 1994. I then worked at an engineering firm as an Environmental Planner before moving to the PA Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP). I worked as a Sanitarian Program Specialist in the Bureau of Watershed Management where our team was responsible for protecting public water supplies for the Commonwealth of PA.
I received my teaching certification from Susquehanna University and then accepted a teaching position and the rest is history. I live in my hometown of Boiling Springs with my husband (also an educator) and our daughter. I continue to coach field hockey and am a member of the USA Women's Masters National Field Hockey Team. I enjoy all forms of athletic competitions. I spend most of my free time outdoors and favor the typical "earthy" things that most geoscientists study in their career.
I look forward to working with my students and their families as we explore science and transition freshman successfully to the high school!
