The MASH Course Selection Book offers the following description of the course:
PHOTOGRAPHY I
7520 Grades 10-12 .25 Credit 1 Year 2 Periods/Cycle
Prerequisite: Each student will need his/her own camera (35 mm, manually operated, SLR – NOT DIGITAL) and must purchase appropriate film and paper to be used for this course. Supplies for this course can be purchased through the Art Department. The estimated cost of film and paper per semester is $60.00.
This course is an introduction to black and white photography. Students will learn the fundamentals of the camera, processing of film, and the basic darkroom skills necessary to print a photograph. Emphasis will be placed on composition, observation, and the development of technical skill.
