About Me
Hi there!
I'm excited to get to know you (or your student) in Earth and Space Science class this year!
I have been teaching at Mechanicsburg for 12 years now, and have taught all levels of this course, as well as Biology. I am a Midwesterner, born and raised on a farm in Iowa. I moved out here to get my Bachelors in Biology from Messiah College and later my MS in the Science of Instruction from Drexel University. Ever the life-long-learner, I most recently completed another Masters degree, in Geoscience, from Mississippi State University. I am an animal lover and currently share my home with a cat, a dog, and some fish. I'm also in the process of helping my daughter adopt a parrot. My hobbies are fairly diverse. When I have free time I most enjoy knitting, playing video games, and riding my motorcycle. I have two kids in the district, and during the summers we take to the open road, driving many miles to visit family on the farm, and hitting as many National Parks and geologic wonders as we can fit in!
