The trip started at the Lincoln Memorial, where Austin, a sophomore, read an excerpt from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech at the historic marker, creating a powerful moment of reflection. Students also visited the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and continued along the National Mall, connecting their learning to the places where history happened.
The day concluded at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, where students explored exhibits that brought key moments in American history to life.
A beautiful day filled with learning, reflection, and Wildcats making meaningful connections.

💬 CONNECTION IN MOTION // Whether it’s in an office, a classroom, or even rolling down the hallway, building relationships with students is always a priority.
Recently, we spotted MASH Assistant Principal Sunada Roberts rolling down the hallway with her laptop on a cart, a perfect reminder that connection doesn’t have to be complicated. Instead, it’s about being present, approachable, and willing to meet students where they are. Every interaction is a chance to listen, support, and make a student feel seen.

When one of our Wildcats discovered a large hole in their pants during the school day, Deb stepped in right away. She quickly pinned the pants so the student could comfortably get through the day and even offered to sew them properly afterward.
It’s a small act of kindness with a big impact. In the words of the student’s parent, it “reminded me how lucky we are to have such compassionate staff in our buildings.” Thank you, Deb, for caring for our Wildcats in every way that matters. ❤️

From the first friendly greeting at the front desk to the countless details handled behind the scenes, our administrative professionals are a steady, caring presence supporting students, staff, and families alike. Their organization, problem-solving, and willingness to jump in wherever needed make a difference in ways big and small. And let's be honest, we couldn’t do what we do without these amazing members of our team!

Sarah has gone above and beyond to help new Guest Teachers feel welcomed, prepared, and connected as they begin working in our schools. When a recent weather delay created a scheduling mix-up, she graciously adjusted her plans to still provide orientation and support.
Her flexibility, kindness, and commitment have been instrumental in helping our Guest Teachers start strong and in ensuring our classrooms continue to run smoothly. Thank you, Sarah, for the care and dedication you bring to our Wildcat community. 💙

It may seem like a small gesture, but those quick moments of connection leave a lasting impact. Tara’s commitment to building belonging and brightening someone’s day is just one of the many ways she makes MASH stronger.
Thank you, Tara, for sending our Wildcats into every weekend on a high note. 💙

Students connected with members of the PA Army National Guard to learn about field artillery roles, engineering support careers, and both college and non-college pathways. Another group attended a Law & Corrections career exploration event, speaking with state representatives, state troopers, attorneys, and law professors about careers in law and law enforcement.
Real conversations. Real professionals. Real-world possibilities. Real connections.
Special thanks to Jeff Luttermoser and team for coordinating these amazing opportunities! (📸 And for the photos.)
