🌳 As July comes to a close, we would be remiss if we didn't recognize Park and Recreation Month, and celebrate not only the incredible team that brings our programs and events to life all year long, but also our amazing staff who bring the magic to our Playground Program and Summer Adventure Camp.

From leading games and crafts to organizing youth sports, special events, and community programs, both our counselors and recreation team go above and beyond to make every moment meaningful. Their energy, kindness, and dedication create spaces where fun, learning, and connection thrive — all year long.

Campers proudly present Disney’s Dare to Dream Jr., a magical, family-friendly revue celebrating 100 years of Disney music and storytelling. Join our young Imagineers as they discover the power of dreams through songs from 24 beloved Disney films—classics and new favorites alike!

From the U.S. Military Academy at West Point (Class of 1964) to 28 years in the U.S. Army, followed by 32 years dedicated to our Wildcats—16 as a full-time Social Studies teacher at MASH and another 16 as a beloved substitute (at both MASH and MMS)—Retired Col. Karl Robinson has spent an incredible 64 years serving others. Please join us as we thank Col. 📣 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT // Due to facility renovations and infrastructure upgrades, the track at Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School will be closed from now through approximately October 2025. During this time, the facility will not be open for community use. As always, we appreciate your support and understanding.

Special thanks to our friends at Mechanicsburg Fire Department for recognizing and supporting our grads (and for everything their department does to protect and serve our community!). 🔗 LINK CREW IS COMING TO MASH // We’re launching Link Crew—a nationally recognized program to support our incoming 9th-grade Wildcats! 🐾 This spring, five staff members became certified Link Crew Coordinators (they're the smiling faces in the picture), and they selected 104 awesome sophomores and juniors to serve as Link Leaders and to guide the Class of 2029 into high school life. Stay tuned in the coming days for more photos from our first-ever Link Leaders training. The Link Crew journey officially kicks off at Freshman Orientation in August. The Crew is ready. 🍪 SUPPORTING THOSE WHO SUPPORT US // Wildcats at MASH recently had the chance to give back to the very community that supports our schools. During the Operation Wildcat Yard Sale last month, students volunteered their time by organizing books and containers and running a bake sale table—all with smiles and heart. Even better? Every delicious treat at the bake sale was made by the students themselves as part of a class project. Their efforts raised more than $600, which will go toward supporting future classroom activities. 👏 Congratulations to our M&T Bank John Travers Award nominees — Taryn Zerby and Joshua Smith! Taryn (Tennis – 3 varsity letters) and Josh (Football, Basketball, Lacrosse, Track & Field – 11 varsity letters combined) have excelled both on the field and in the classroom, representing Mechanicsburg with pride. 🏅 Josh, who will attend Princeton University, was also selected as a finalist for this prestigious award, which honors well-rounded student-athletes for their performance, academics, and community service. Nadia was recently selected unanimously as the recipient of the Empower Scholarship during PenWell Law’s annual Young Women in Law program. 🌍✈️ WORLD TRAVELERS // Our Wildcats at MASH traveled the world on Wednesday—without ever leaving the Wildcat Activity Center. 🚌🛑 BUS SAFETY PROGRAM LAUNCHES MAY 5, 2025 - PLEASE SHARE // Mechanicsburg Area School District has partnered with BusPatrol and our friends at Mechanicsburg Police Department, Upper Allen Township Police Department, and Shiremanstown Police Department to launch a new school bus safety program in line with PA Motor Vehicle Code § 3345. As part of the program, all school buses transporting our Wildcats will be outfitted with stop arm photo enforcement cameras to detect vehicles that illegally pass stopped school buses while the stop sign is out and red lights are engaged. Footage obtained of a vehicle that illegally passes the stopped bus is then shared with the police department to determine whether to issue a violation by mail. The violation is reviewed by law enforcement and, once approved, a notice of violation is sent to the registered vehicle owner by mail. The program will officially launch on Monday, May 5, 2025.
