Course Overview:  This course is designed to develop an awareness of the privileges, responsibilities and processes of citizenship in our democracy.  Students will better understand the workings of our constitutional government and the important role each person plays in the operation of government.  Emphasis will be placed on the development and function of our political system and the operation of government from the federal through the local municipal levels.
