Welcome students! My name is Mr. Rose, and I am currently entering my seventeenth year of teaching Social Studies! This is my third year of teaching at MASH, and I am extremely excited about working with you in American Government and Contemporary American History throughout this school year! I gradated from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte in 2003, and earned my Bachelor's Degree in History and Secondary Education. I also completed Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2008, and have lived in Mechanicsburg with my wife, Rebecca, and our two children, Max and Addie for the past eleven years.
I also like to remain very active within the school community outside of the classroom, as I serve as the Head Varsity Football Coach, Head Freshman Girls Basketball Coach, and a Co-Advisor for the school's chapter of the National Honor Society. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my family, playing basketball, and reading. I am an avid fan of the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Washington Redskins, and I am an overall sports enthusiast at heart. I also have two dogs, Bailey and Odin, and I am looking forward to a truly exciting year at MASH with each and every one of you!
Over the course of the next two weeks, I will be posting several optional enrichment based activities for my students to explore, if they were to choose to do so. These activities, are fun, and engaging, and will expand on the various materials that we have covered so far in class. To access these optional activities, please feel free to preview/join my various Google Classrooms by clicking on the links below.
